This home is perched on a hill overlooking the Atlantic Ocean with views from Little Compton to First Beach in Newport. What makes this site even more special are the wonderful sun sets overlooking the backyard orchard, so capturing all the views was a defining driver in the design of this clean coastal shingle style home. 

 

The front covered porch extends the first floor living space while the sun deck above is directly off the master bedroom for morning coffee. The roof deck is a special place to gather anytime - for any view - as it takes advantage of the 270 degree expansive view from the east to west.

A few of our favorite details include the repetition of the tower roof soffit, the integration of the stairs to the roof deck, and the stonework growing up from the ground at the outdoor shower.
